5 Celeb outfits hated by critics that i’d wear

I went on a deep dive of celebrity red carpet looks that the press and fans hated. Some of these looks were even hated by the celebs wearing them but I disagree. Not only would I wear these outfits but I don’t think they deserve the hate and regret they got.

Anne Hathaway – P for Pink

Im not just saying I’d wear this because it is a pink sequin Bulgari mini-dress with Valentino pumps but that’s a large portion of my reasoning. People said this was too far out of Hathaway’s normal fashion landscape, I agree, it’s nothing like her usual mid-to-long, muted gowns. This was fun, super girly and made statements as she strolled through Italy for the Valentino haute couture Fall/Winter 2022-23 show in Rome.

Alexa Demie – Double Denim

I don’t know why Celebs always get slated for their double denim looks. Im not a fan of Balenciaga on a normal day but I thought this look was cool and creative. It still captured her casual, high-end, everyday look while being out of the box and edgy. I would wear this look head to toe just as it was styled.

Lizzy Gardiner – 1995 AMEX Couture

How can you not say ICON? Lizzy Gardiner wore a dress made of 254 expired AMEX Gold Cards in 1995 to accept her Oscar award for Best Costume Design. Gardiner stated, “On the night it really upset a lot of people, A lot of women, I think they felt upstaged or pissed off that I wasn’t taking things as seriously as I should.” With the impact this gown made, I’d be pissed too if my dress inspired the Gisele Bündchen Polaroid dress.

Ashley Tisdale – Layering Legend

Hear me out. Are the fashion girls not doing this right now? Are you going to tell me Ashley Tisdale wasn’t ahead of her time with this one? In all honesty, my only problem with this outfit is the setting it’s in… and the keyboard bag. Other than that, I would keep the layered tees, skirt + jeans combo and ballerina flats.

Lourdes Leon – Less is more

It’s no secret I love a scandalous, mini-dress moment. Lourdes Leon is always making a statement with her red carpet outfits and this definitely isn’t the only one hated by the press. My theory is they just don’t like her. But I love her, and the fact that all the boomer hate has never stopped her from stepping out in her scantly clad outfits. It’s bold and definitely something I would wear.
